I don't know if I can describe it better than that, really... Things like Rich declaring so strongly to Alo that 'I'm metal; that's who I am'. Grace comes out with a couple of similar 'my way or the highway' comments, IIRC. It's all probably just about them being teenagers, but it makes me frown momentarily.
