Also, I think you have just described how Damon spent 75% of his time with his mother. You know he's a secret cuddle fiend. He probably cuddled the living daylights out of all those women he compelled and made them listen while he talked about his ~feelings~, and then erased their memories so they couldn't tell anyone what a marshmallow he is.
SERIOUSLY. Well, except that that's probably more of a recent development now that he's admitted the fact that he HAS feelings. So, no cuddling before this season. I think he just used all those other women before now to bitch about how much he hates Stefan. :)
