(1) I am on a brief break from school. Hence, postage.
(2) But more significantly, it is my cat's birthday today! Pixie is no longer a kitten. ;___; To celebrate, here is a photo of him on a ladder:

(3) As I am online I guess I will use this opportunity to talk about television.
Elementary is returning in a matter of days (... in Australia) and I realize I never posted about my feels about the ending of S1. So.
And I was supposed to review White Christmas aaaaages ago but didn't b/c suck and now I've lost most of my immediate feels ;___________; Still,
Aside from White Christmas I also recently finished My Girlfriend is a Gumiho and Coffee Prince! \o/ Oh, and Boys Over Flowers. Which I am not going to spare further thought to because lol no. Aaaaand I am now about halfway through Playful Kiss, which I am enjoying a lot more than I would... So if you have feelings about those things then heckle in comments.
(4) Can someone please explain to me why Infinite are playing at the likes of L.A. and Paris on their world tour but not doing A SINGLE DATE in Australia? Like, it's Australia. tbh I have no idea how popular they are in the U.S./Europe (supposedly the NY tickets sold out quickly, idk?) but come on. DOES FRANCE HAVE ITS OWN KPOP RADIO CHANNEL? I THINK NOT. (Not that I know what I'm talking about, mind.) Anyway, I hope everyone on my flist who have tickets have the time of their lives on my behalf. Please touch Woohyun for me. (No, don't really do that, leave him alone.) (But do send him this bleeding black heart from me to his fishnet shirts. ;______; I can say no more.)

- So... that twist. I am ambivalent. This post pretty much sums it up for me. Not that I don't think it's kind of ingenious, because it is, but I can't be unreservedly flaily about it either.
- Irene(/Moriarty)/Sherlock should totally be my thing (FOE!YAY!) but evidently I am doing it wrong because honestly I am not really shipping that. The flashback dump did not excite me and oddly I am not seeing the Jonny L.M./Natalie D. fire I want to be seeing. I WANT TO SHIP IT BUT I DOOOOOOON'T. #life problems
- I maintain that the Joan/Sherlock story is the single best, most consistent, and best-developed thing about the show and I am still way more invested in their relationship than anything else. He named a bee after her, ok, all other arguments are irrelevant.
- Alternatively, Joan/Moriarty should be a thing.
- Lookin' forward to s2 though, despite my grumbling!
And I was supposed to review White Christmas aaaaages ago but didn't b/c suck and now I've lost most of my immediate feels ;___________; Still,
- ZOMG best show ever.
- Obviously the "are monsters created or born?" theme appealed, although sometimes I felt like it was more like an anvil -- in contrast to how subtle and slow-paced the overall show was.
- But the way they wrapped up that theme was :D :D :D I endorsed that ending so violently.
- Dude, Bang Sung Joon is crazy attractive in this. The shorter hair suits him so much better than the SUFBB mop tbh. And, fine, sociopathy also looks crazy good on him, smh.
- My other "fave" dudes were Mi Reu and Yoon Su and Young Jae for reasons of psychotic jackassery and in Yoon Su's case unadulterated masochism. X(((((((
- Speaking of which, SO UPSET ABOUT YOON SU'S DEMISE WHY SHOW WHYYYYY /o\ /o\ /o\ /o\ /o\
- ofc Eun Sung was my girl. The m:f ratio didn't even bother me here because Eun Sung.
- lbr Eun Sung/Young Jae was the wrong ship of my dead heart, I NEVER CLAIMED NOT TO BE EMBARRASSINGLY PREDICTABLE. "become twisted enough for a twisted boy like me to like you"??? LIKE IT COULD BE ANY OTHER WAY.
- And then I read Ranya's fic and I cried and my tears were black mascara.
- This show deserves a much better review OTL but suffice it to say everyone should watch this and then come cry.
Aside from White Christmas I also recently finished My Girlfriend is a Gumiho and Coffee Prince! \o/ Oh, and Boys Over Flowers. Which I am not going to spare further thought to because lol no. Date: 2013-10-10 02:01 pm (UTC)Hee, hilariously those were the things that worked for me about PK though. I completely bought Ha-ni being forever stuck on Seung-jo because ~irrationally wanting something that's bad for you~ is my jam and the show was usually pretty up-front about it being very unhealthy and teenage. And as much as I'd have been down for an ending of d00m where Ha-ni walked away I kind of dig that in the end she got EVERYTHING SHE WANTED, LOL?
Your shipping angst re: Nice Guys vaguely terrifies me tbh.
i looked up the show again, and apparently Jaejoong is a fan of it??
LOL. DIRTY PLAY, DUDE. YOU KNOW I CANNOT SAY NO TO MY PRETTY ALIEN BIAS.
because he has a mustache in it #truestory #kiddiepool but he also has a sex scene in it, so it's close.
Erm. Well, watch the show while zooming in on his abdominal muscles, I guess?
Dude, I did not even recognize Hae-ra actress from BOF. (Then again, I've blocked most of that show from memory, so.)
omg lol you're gonna kill me but I have to say, although Lee Dong-wook is a hot piece his acting is embarrassingly bad in moments?? I mean, he's mostly fine, but whenever there's some DRAMATIC SCENE? I AM ON THE FLOOR. DID HE GET BETTER OVER TIME OR??)
why is this so long, bye. it's like, instead of posting my feels on my journal, i just come here and vomit them all.
I suspected as much tbh.

Date: 2013-10-10 08:00 pm (UTC)you talk like you are a person or something.
Hee, hilariously those were the things that worked for me about PK though.
LOL, exactly what I said as well?? It totally worked for me in PK, because I wanted Ha-ni to have everything she wanted, hee. Besides, this kind of scenario, I totally understand the attraction; like the boy-in-her-school-whom-she's-liked-since-ages + she's living with him. It's the Jan-di/Jun-pyo kind of storylines where I'm all ????? because they met for the first time when the series started and barely spent any time together at all i.e. why their true love is not v. believable to me. While in most kdramas, the OTP, even if they meet at the beginning of the series, spend almost all their time together, so I'm totally okay with the true love part of it.
it's just that i wish there was more...idk, conflict of feelings? because mostly, after the lead female makes her ~choice, she never wavers and sometimes I just want her to enjoy herself with all the other gorgeous men/women around and then eventually come back to the True Love.
Your shipping angst re: Nice Guys vaguely terrifies me tbh.
lmao, i'm being dramatic and i'm biased because i think psy has the best narrative arc. but tbh, you could easily otp ship. everything ever in that show is a wrong!ship so \o/?
Dude, I did not even recognize Hae-ra actress from BOF.
LMAO. I take a good long while to recognize repeat people. what is it about these actors that they all look different from different angles?? like, i can't even with ji-hoo and seung-jo being the same guy :s
although Lee Dong-wook is a hot piece his acting is embarrassingly bad in moments??
HAHAHA, NO, DUDE, OBV I AGREE. I LMAO AT EVERY SCENE THAT REQUIRES HIM TO SHOUT BCZ SRSLY. But I'm kind of inured to bad acting since my kdrama viewing has largely been centered on idol actors. like, coffee prince was legit the first show i can think of where i was like DUDE :O at the lead male's acting and fell in love with him because of it. In LDW's case, i genuinely think he's gorgeous in subtle scenes, because he seems to have a good range of facial expressions and eyebrow movements, so he manages to convey lots of different emotions through very minute facial changes. but give him a dramatic, shout-at-something scene and he's basically lol. although, weirdly enough, in la dolce vita (in the bit i've seen), he's very ~intense and it doesn't come off as overly dramatic or over the top like the rest of his drama does. idk idk all very strange, i'm beginning to think it's related to how ~loud he has to be for a scene. he's a surprisingly decent comic actor also. BUT MAN, THEY NEED TO CUT THE DRAMA FROM EVERY SHOW HE'S IN BECAUSE LOL FOREVER. AND YET IDEC, BECAUSE
[I nearly wrote stroke for strike. freud slipped etc.]BODYFACE.I suspected as much tbh.
WELL.
okay, so, I'm watching Partners and it has this perf scene where the lead female comes into their office while LDW's character is in middle of changing his shirt (after they pulled an all nighter on a case) and he's all covering himself with this terrified expression like she's going to jump him and then she just calmly goes and sits on her desk instead of leaving:
"i'm changing, aren't you leaving?" (i cannot with LDW's expression in this part, like he says it in this genuinely vaguely confused, what-is-happening is-this-real-life sort of way and it is the best expression i have ever seen on anyone's face ever /end)
"so, change. i haven't tied your hands, have i"
"aish, this ajhumma, really. you have to leave" (idk why, but it's forever lol to me that he's been calling her ajhumma till now]
"since i'm an ajhumma, it's okay. i'm like your omma, so you can change in front of me"
and then proceeds to stare at him and goes "wow. you've got a good body right there. is this a special treat for me before trial?"
"yah ajhumma!"
"actually, on second look...it's just okay"
LIKE, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA@I'M LIKE YOUR MOTHER BEING AN OTP EXCHANGE.
bye.

EPIC LOVE SYNDROME THOUGH. Especially with the conservativeness of Korean romances. /o\ /o\ /o\
OMG I AM GLAD YOU AGREE ABOUT LDW. LOL. \o/ He is absolutely fine in quieter scenes, I agree. But when he has to chew scenery he is out of his element. I felt the same way about Myung-soo btw.
That said, didn't you think most of the R1997 and SUFBB actors were good??
LIKE, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA@I'M LIKE YOUR MOTHER BEING AN OTP EXCHANGE.
L O L. Only on kdramas istg. Reminds me of when Eun-chan warmly told Han-kyul that he reminded her of her father and that's why she loved him so...

Date: 2013-10-11 10:04 am (UTC)lmao, this is why i always say that the only way i'd have been more mad at bof than i was would be if i'd otp shipped, because there's no denying they got no screentime together at all, while jihoo/jandi were basically together beginning-end.
EPIC LOVE SYNDROME THOUGH. Especially with the conservativeness of Korean romances. /o\ /o\ /o\
I KNOW, RIGHT? It's got a lot to do with not wanting to make the female lead fickle in her love, i suppose (and lbr, she'd get hated on from all corners if she was) because that would kind of shade the true love forever bit. ALAS.
But when he has to chew scenery he is out of his element.
HE TOTALLY IS. watching him in everything ever, i've realized it actually has a lot to do with the decibel level of the scene. like, seeing him portray the same emotion in a loud/quiet scene, the contrast is so visible. when he was loud and playful in the beginning of Partners (in this totally over-the-top courtroom scene that is basically the worst and the best) i was cringing the whole time, but the fourth episodes, he's playful in quiet, dialed-down settings, and he kills it. same for angsty scenes. where he's to be all *SCREAMS HIS ANGST*, he's ridiculous, but then if you put him in a room just looking at some ~romantically ~important object or the other half of the OTP, his facial expressions are a thing of wonder.
I felt the same way about Myung-soo btw.
i felt the same about Myung-soo AND Hyun-joong. lmao, i'm beginning to notice a pattern in my faves. hmm.
That said, didn't you think most of the R1997 and SUFBB actors were good??
IT IS HARD TO EXPLAIN R1997 RE: MY VIEWING EXPERIENCE. it was the first kdrama i ever saw and the first time i was watching in a different lang with subtitles (which i HATED before r1997, btw) and knowing i was missing out on all the cultural nuances and trying to get my head in basically. besides i saw it in terrible quality and couldn't find a lot of links without difficulty, so it was very interrupted viewing as well (in fact i think i've never actually seen the third episode). So, the thing is I don't actually remember specifics of that show, I only have a general impression of Best. Show. Ever. (tbh, the fact that i saw the show in those conditions and thought it was fucking fantastic says a lot about the show.) i actually don't remember much of the actual acting except that Eun-ji and Hoya were the most brilliant ever (as was seo in guk, AND EVERYONE ON THAT DRAMA). and, lol, when i talk kdrama, i usually put r1997 in a category all by itself, so if i'm talking about average acting in kdramas, i probably didn't even think of classifying r1997 in there, lol.
But as for SUFBB, ITA on most people being good, but, and this probably puts me in the WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU???? part of humanity, because i think that show is legit perfection in terms of narrative (not to mention, the ending), but i didn't...actually feel much for the characters apart from Hyun-soo, for whom I felt everything? Like, the difference between CP and SUFBB for me was that in CP I was totally predisposed to dislike the lead guy and he actually turned my opinion around through his acting and character interpretation apart from the narrative itself (OBLIGATORY REFERENCE TO BEACH SCENE, I GENUINELY THINK THE DRAMA WOULD'VE BEEN EXCELLENT EVEN IF THAT HAD BEEN THE ONLY GOOD SCENE IN IT) while in SUFBB I was predisposed to like all the characters and i vaguely liked them all, but didn't actually feel much for them, and none of them wow-ed me purely on acting or made me like their characters apart from how i could tell i liked them in the way they'd been written? the exception being Hyun-soo's character (and possibly Do-il?) and hilariously enough, Myung-soo was obv the actor with the least ~acting ~credentials and was pretty lol in the ~dramatic scenes, but it wasn't only the character, whom I ADORED by himself, but the way he was portrayed as well. idk, idk, clearly i am not a very mentally stable person.

lol @ your life. IDK if that's worse or better than my own scenery-chewer bias situations.
and, lol, when i talk kdrama, i usually put r1997 in a category all by itself, so if i'm talking about average acting in kdramas, i probably didn't even think of classifying r1997 in there, lol.
LMAO POINT TAKEN.
OMG DUDE OK YANA ABOUT SUFBB. I completely agree that it is a near-perfect show but I felt exactly the same way as you in that the only character I was REALLY invested in was Hyun-soo (AND DO-IL IS MY WOMAN OBVS). And I can tell you right now that the Myung-soo effect is a thing that exists -- Lauren also watched that show and fell totally in love with him despite whatever weak acting and that is literally how she got into Infinite, TROLOLOL. Myung-soo just has a very woobie vibe about him, this is the case all the time, despite the fact that the L/Hyun-soo personality is the opposite of his real one.
That said, I will say that Bang Sung-joon (Ji-hyuk) is generally fantastic in everything he's in. He was also in White Christmas playing a sociopath and was the dopest, just saying.

Date: 2013-10-13 04:33 pm (UTC)Lol, so I just rewatched the first episode of My Girl with sister and OMG, HE LOOKS SO ADORABLY YOUNG TO ME IN IT NOW. Like, Gong-chan's supposed to be some 28, but LDW at the time was probably 23 or sthing. He's pretty sculpted and ridiculously fit in his post-army days, with a killer jawline and abs and stuff, so seeing him with baby fat (or well, some version of it) = awwww.
But also, I do think he improved a lot in the acting department (although everytime he runs or clenches his teeth, I rofl) and for me, he has the best I'm Falling In Love With This Person expressions ever, I believe it, which is kind of important to me in dramas which are, y'know, premised on love.
lol @ your life. IDK if that's worse or better than my own scenery-chewer bias situations.
lmao, you mean like your Namstar?? My biases are all dorks IRL. KHJ is, of course, certifiable and possibly an alien, but LDW is hilariously incompetent in those All Important Fields of dancing and singing and basically flails around a lot. (And of course there's L with his constant falling and tripping over his own feet. HE = ME, negl.)
OMG@OUR SUFBB THOUGHTS BEING IN TANDEM THO. Bcz I was pretty TT over the fact that everyone ships things and I'm not shippy at all about it (or mostly, which is funny because out of the three kdrama fics I've yet written, two have been for SUFBB and shippy in themselves). And honestly, I'm a shipper at heart, ship investment is v. important to me (LOOK AT HOW MUCH BOF MAKES ME DIE JUST BECAUSE OF JI HOO/JAN DI, EVEN THOUGH I HATE THAT SHOW) for complete investment. There are maybe a handful of shows that I'm totally invested in despite not particularly shipping much in them. I wish I was the sort of person who got most invested in shows that are, y'know, GOOD on their narrative. But basically I just get randomly invested in whatever, with no patterns and seem to enjoy mostly awful things. Alas.
That said, I will say that Bang Sung-joon (Ji-hyuk) is generally fantastic in everything he's in. He was also in White Christmas playing a sociopath and was the dopest, just saying.
LMAO, that is so odd to me, but noted. I enjoy everyone playing sociopaths lbr.

Dude, I just saw the ep where Gong-chan stalks Yoo-rin on her tour guide shenanigans. He is a COMPLETE fool in love and LDW sells that shit down the river, you tell no lies.
lol, everyone in kpop is a loser of some variety, such is the music industry tbh. GPOY all round.
Namstar
You think you've seen questionable acting.
(Myung-soo is all of us. That is just the way it is.)
Dude, I am SO not shippy about SUFBB. At least in the way of canon. Forever alone in not caring about Ji-hyuk/Soo-ah or Hyun-soo/Ye-rim. Even my Do-il/Woo-kyung OTP isn't something I'm crying tears of blood and itching for all of the post-series epics about so much as being like "YES GOOD BONE, MINOR BACKGROUND SHIPS 5EVER"?? So, YANA.

do u know me at all. but also, so i was telling this other cousin (...not that my sister is my cousin, BUT JUST TO DIFFERENTIATE) about my kdrama obsession and she had the ??????? reaction and zero interest and was anti it for the same reasons i had been (language, subtitles etc.). and then i just casually switched playful kiss on and said "let's watch just this one ep since we have time to kill, it's cute". And after I came back from my euro trip, she had finished the series and was dld-ing My Girl. /bows

ISN'T THAT THE LAST EPISODE THO? ARE YOU DONE WITH THE SERIES THEN?? But l m a o. I love that part, honestly, bcz could that guy be a bigger dork. And his constant DDDDDD:@her seeming indifference to him = LOL. and then he becomes a whiny interfering brat and is the best. guh.
lol, everyone in kpop is a loser of some variety, such is the music industry tbh. GPOY all round.
ooh, you have some connection to the music industry right? (you have been v. gpoy about the kpop idol angst *pets*.) are you into instrumental or vocal or both??
You think you've seen questionable acting.
HAHAHA, has he acted in sthing?? i didn't know that? :O
ugh, Y E S to all your SUFBB thoughts 4ever basically. and the worst is that that is the one show that everyone is shippy about? like, because all the fic ever seems to be written for SUFBB (and what high-ground do i have, i wrote for it too) and i just want SO MUCH STUFF written for so many other shows and this may actually- out of everything i've seen- may be the one that i absolutely do not care about, which makes me cry tears of blood obv. must have been a sinner in my past life etc.
WE CAN BE FOREVER ALONE TOGETHER \o/
In other news: I am watching Secret Garden (ugh, that's the worst of kdramas, I always think OMG, SO MUCH SHORTER THAN WESTERN SHOWS = YAY. And end up watching everything ever.) It is THE BEST AND THE WORST. Like, the lead male character is- as I've heard described perfectly- a neurotic freakshow. he is the dorkiest dork that ever dorked; self-obsessed, ridiculously blunt and uncomprehending of everything, and yet the obligatory psychotic jackass par extraordinaire. (although he's also v. v. interesting because his neuroses aren't just for the awkwardorkable but clearly his condition is also medically relevant and his psychiatrist exists for a reason, which i think is such an interesting turn to take with the male lead.) And the female lead is PERFECT. I LOVE HER. Like, I just adore her relationship with everyone on the show because she manages to sell all dynamics really well and idk, i really enjoy her passion for her work (she's a stuntwoman) and i think the actress is understated in a way that i think works really well for me personally.
but ughh, there are so many problematic elements in the OTP that make me DD: i think it's mostly because the male lead is SUCH a jackass and completely unable to understand "I DON'T LIKE YOU" that it goes into squick territory on occasion (like, weirdly enough the couple they most remind me of is Jun-pyo/Jan-di, except i love these two /what even). and i feel the worst because i still can't dislike them just on basis of the problematics even though i totally, totally should; part because of the character-construction which is pitch-perfect and part because the actors are killing it and part because of their flawless chemistry. but yes, i am the worst. but then his responses are also clearly derivative of his neurotic tendencies and possible depression, so I can't hate him either, and I'm basically left banging my head, WHY MUST YOU CONFLICT ME LIKE THIS SHOW. But yes, it's a show DEFINITELY worth watching, excellent comic timing and acting, ridiculous chemistry and general awesomeness.
AGAIN, THIS IS FAR, FAR TOO LONG. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME. BYE.

*ginger clap of disgust*
ISN'T THAT THE LAST EPISODE THO? ARE YOU DONE WITH THE SERIES THEN??
that was the second-last episode, actually. but I have indeed finished the series now. OMG Gong-chan is such a w00b in those last episodes. :D and ngl I loved that last scene because dramatic elevator shenanigans are my jam.
ooh, you have some connection to the music industry right? (you have been v. gpoy about the kpop idol angst *pets*.) are you into instrumental or vocal or both??
lol, "connection to the music industry". in answer to your question, both? i play piano/guitar/bass and i've had vocal training. but really my true love is writing. (and we will not go down that road of gpoy today, n0pe.)
HAHAHA, has he acted in sthing?? i didn't know that? :O
LMAO, "acting" is a stretch imo. but if being hired once in some obscure show to play "himself"(/his Infinite persona) i.e. take off his shirt and drive a motorcycle and moon at the bitchy second female lead... counts as acting, then i suppose?? :| (stick to singing, bro.)
i feel datz about SUFBB fic, ngl. i feel like the show was so complete and perfect on its own that i really do not need fic about it (although i won't TURN MY BACK ON IT or anything, lol.)
NO, I AM NOT WATCHING SECRET GARDEN. SHOO. SHOO. (i'm supposed to watch some new show called Heirs now b/c Eleonore is creying.)
but as far as problematics go, i wouldn't be too cut about it, lol. i can't speak for everyone but i know that nine times out of ten i'm only COMPLETELY TURNED OFF by problematic things about a ship if i've also lost interest in the narrative. so if the show at least is aware about the unhealthy stuff then live and let live. :D

Date: 2013-10-20 07:15 am (UTC)NEVER, HAVE U MET ME.
guhhh, i just loved My Girl so much okay, it was one of those where everything pretty much worked for me, esp the romance (bratty stalker!gong-chan and murderous guide!yoo-rin basically made even the end dynamic so interesting 2 me.) Also, the real cousin and her husband were apparently the leads from Delightful Girl Choon-Hyang which is probably why they never showed her face till the end, except I totally missed out on the meta-casting gag, lol.
ALSO, LMFAO@THEM ADDING A PAIR OF GLASSES TO LDW's FACE TO DENOTE AGING. But dramatic elevator shenanigans are the actual best, you tell no lies, and this show has more than a few. I am also fond of dramatic flinging away of the Fib Coin and I-Can't-Hide-From-My-Feelings-Anymore and Tell-Me-You-Don't-Love-Me-Tell-Me-You're-Over-Us shenanigans.
i play piano/guitar/bass and i've had vocal training.
why are you so grossly good at everything. but that is fantastic. congratulations on your life, sir. i've always wanted to go into music, but i always ended up in theatre and debating instead. but i will at some point make a point to learn bcz music = everything.
but really my true love is writing.
UGH, LISTEN I CANNOT WRITE AT ALL???? LIKE, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO WRITE ANYTHING ORIGINAL. I HAVE NO IDEAS WHATSOEVER AND EVERY TIME I TRY, IT COMES OUT SOUNDING INCREDIBLY CHILDISH AND BIZARRE. Like, I literally at one point wanted to do a meme where people could give me prompts for writing them original stuff :x :x :x I AM GLAD YOU HAVE A DECIDED TRUE LOVE.
(and we will not go down that road of gpoy today, n0pe.)
(today being the operative word.)
hahahahah, why u being mean to your bias, that sounds legit fantastico. don't listen to her, Namu, continue being a flawless scenery-chewer okay? (so a friend posted about Kim Hyun-joong on another friend's wall and how she's stanning him completely out of the blue and I had a mini aneurysm. AH, BIASES.)
(although i won't TURN MY BACK ON IT or anything, lol.)
THAT IS TRUE. Best ending to a show ever, how did they even. But I have zero investment in the ships which makes fic reading hard (UNLESS IT'S JOON HEE/HYUN SOO AND LAUREN WRITING BECAUSE THAT IS THE ACTUALFAX BEST AND I CAN READ FOREVER.)
NO, I AM NOT WATCHING SECRET GARDEN. SHOO. SHOO.
LMAO, IT'S OKAY, JUST WATCH IT WHENEVER YOU FEEL THE NEUROTIC DORK-FACTOR IN YOUR LIFE HAS GONE BELOW ACCEPTABLE LEVELS.

Date: 2013-10-20 07:17 am (UTC)LOL. What d'you mean by "some new show called Heirs" tho, HAVE YOU NOT HEARD OF HEIRS (a.k.a. The Inheritors a.k.a. He Who Wears The Crown Must Bear Its Weight: The Heirs which is the actual title, lol)?? IT IS ONLY THAT SHOW THAT EVERYONE HAS COLLECTIVELY BEEN LOSING THEIR HEADS OVER FOR A GOOD YEAR BEFORE ITS AIR-DATE AND STARS EVERYONE EVER. Dude, like Lee Min-ho and Park Shin-hye is clearly a rom-com casting coup and besides it has everyone else also you can possibly think of. But also, the show it's most compared to is Boys Before Flowers would you believe, with the rich kids being groomed to take over their business empires and the maid's daughter or sthing. (I cannot with LMH's hair in it tho, like, say whatever about Goo Jun-pyo, but the man had flawless hair. I am still undecided as to whether to watch or not just based on LMH's hair- athough everyone else loves it way better than his BOF-style- but I will probably end up watching it anyway just because of the hype.) It only has some 4/5 episodes out though, no point in starting unless you want to watch it on a weekly basis?
i'm only COMPLETELY TURNED OFF by problematic things about a ship if i've also lost interest in the narrative
THIS IS WHY I COME TO YOU. It is completely true for me as well though, the ship has much the same kind of problematics that Jandi/Junpyo did but I would've even liked them if they'd had a good narrative (or y'know, any narrative at all). I guess there's a general tendency to ~intellectually justify our fandom choices (which I am not immune to at all) so it always seems like everyone likes stuff for all the right reasons or is reading it in a way that makes it not-problematic. STILL, it does give me a pause to realize how terrible my life-choices can be. Oh, well /kanyeshrug.

Date: 2013-10-22 12:34 am (UTC)Okay, bro, I went away to watch ep 1 of The Heirs and have returned. (And apparently you are in even further at this point, l o l.) Park Shin-hye is my fantastical as usual. smh @ her and Lee Min-ho's faces in close promixity. ALSO, CRYING B/C I WAS LITERALLY BITCHING ABOUT LMH'S HAIR TO ELEONORE MERE HOURS AGO. Literally said "nhf LMH's basic hair in this, the BOF curls were superior". Lizzie feels datz too, I hear (but is still refusing to watch on account of her cursed marathon rule???).
He Who Wears The Crown Must Bear Its Weight: The Heirs which is the actual title, lol
lol.
I actually feel the same way about Jan-di/Jun-pyo... It's not that I anti-shipped them BECAUSE ISSUES so much as that the writing of the show on the whole was effing stupid. Also, you'd already biased me against them, trolololol.
lol @ the oral fixation in some of those pics. :| :| :| :| :|

Also, the real cousin and her husband were apparently the leads from Delightful Girl Choon-Hyang which is probably why they never showed her face till the end, except I totally missed out on the meta-casting gag, lol.
I'm still missing the gag tbh.
So I hear you've made a ~*deal*~ with Eleonore to bully her into watching My Girl. ;) On that note, I fear Eleonore has spent too much time around you/me and is now gradually losing her soul. :( :) :( :) :( :? (Btw she tells me to tell you she's made the post you ordered fyi.)
lol, thanks. BUT WHAT SORT OF THEATRE HAVE YOU DONE? :O I studied drama up until graduating high school but have never had a chance to go back to it since I became an English/Philosophy major. /o\
YES, LEARN THE MUSICS. LEARN ITTTTTTTTTTT.
Oh no, I meant writing as in composition! But I feel datz too with original writing, which also incidentally one of my dream careers. (I have too many true loves for someone with no soul. Hm.) Also, lol @ you pretending you can't write. DO THAT MEME.
(today being the operative word.)

hahahahah, why u being mean to your bias
He inspires this reaction tbh. (For serious, Infinite fandom is hilar in that regard because with every other member it's "he's so cute/hot/funny/talented ilhmsm!!!" and then with Woohyun it's "WHY ARE YOU THIS WAY SOMEONE KILL HIM", you'd think he was deeply underrated/unpopular but lol no. :|)
so a friend posted about Kim Hyun-joong on another friend's wall and how she's stanning him completely out of the blue and I had a mini aneurysm. AH, BIASES.
AH, BIASES indeed. But wth is a wall? A Facebook wall? ; \ nhft but good on your friend (who exists irl, no less).
LAUREN IS VV RUDE, I AM ALWAYS SWAYED BY HER WRITING EVEN WHEN I HARDLY CARE FOR THE CHARACTER/SHIP /o\ /o\ /o\
"I felt it deep down inside" same. (idk what's going on.)
